Market Developments and Impact on Availability and Prices

Update 17-07
As of 1 July 2026, the statutory mileage-based road charge for freight transport applies. These additional costs will henceforth be included in our transport costs. We are therefore replacing the current diesel surcharge with a single, combined transport surcharge. The new transport surcharge is €5.35 per order.

The transport surcharge consists of:

• a variable diesel surcharge;
• the statutory mileage-based road charge.

As diesel prices continue to fluctuate and the actual costs of the mileage-based road charge become clearer over the coming period, the transport surcharge will be reviewed monthly. The amount will be adjusted upwards or downwards as necessary.

We are doing everything we can to maintain our usual pricing principles. Due to the rapid market developments, additional measures are necessary. To ensure the continuity of supply, the following applies:

• Price change as of May 1: Due to ongoing increases from suppliers (raw materials and energy), we will adjust our prices as of May 1.
• Deviation from announcement periods: Due to extreme volatility, we cannot always announce price changes in advance within the usual periods.
• No long-term price certainty: As long as these exceptional market conditions persist, we cannot guarantee long-term price agreements.
• Transport costs (fuel surcharge): Fluctuations and increases in fuel prices have a direct effect on our transport costs. Up until April, we have absorbed the increased fuel costs ourselves. As of May 1, a provisional fuel surcharge will apply.

Due to the current geopolitical situation in the Middle East, there may be temporary disruptions in the supply of raw materials, delays in logistics chains, and fluctuations in energy prices. This can affect product availability and price certainty.
