My vision for sustainable packaging

Koninklijke Paardekooper Group cherishes an ambition to supply packaging products and services that do what they are supposed to, with the least possible impact on the planet and its inhabitants. That's us, playing our part in the solution to a worldwide problem. It is no easy challenge. And we are a long way from where we want to be. But where there's a will there's a way. We’ll make mistakes, but we’ll learn along the way. Step by step we and our people, clients and partners are pursuing the ambition to awaken the world to ever more sustainable packaging.   

We are motivated by the belief that this is necessary. The signs are telling us that we can't keep plundering the planet's resources. And, of course, we are tuning into the signals from the marketplace, staying current with the (upcoming) legislation, recognising the changing perceptions of a society that is more critical about its use of resources, and seeing more people who are prepared to consider the environmental consequences of their actions.

And yet, our decision to lead the European field in sustainable packaging is not a knee-jerk reaction to these developments. It is our personal choice as a business. My personal choice as an entrepreneur. I choose not to get stuck in today, but to think of tomorrow and the hundred years ahead. I have no doubt that this is the path we need to take.
