This tape made from a minimum of 85% recycled PET (85% PCR PET) and hotmelt glue is an efficient and environmentally-responsible way to seal boxes and other packaging.

Transparent box sealing tape made from recycled PET


By using this recycled PET tape you are giving plastic waste a second life. At least 85% of the plastic used to make the tape is produced from recycled plastic water bottles (globally one of the most environmentally damaging waste streams) extracted from European household waste. And because the hotmelt glue layer has high-adhesion and high mechanical resistance, when you use this recycled PET (rPET) box sealing tape you are not only contributing towards a better environment you are also opting for a box sealing tape with excellent properties. The tape is patented in Europe under number EP2940091.

Thinner tape thanks to BOPET


The transparent box sealing tape is made of a biaxially oriented polyester film (BOPET). This means the material is stretched in both the machine and transverse direction, which gives it a high tensile strength, dimensional stability and transparency. The result - a thinner tape (19my) with high mechanical resistance and better adhesion - means more tape per roll. Strong, thin, box sealing tape also offers economic advantages: lower transport and storage costs per linear metre (plus lower CO2 emissions) and the rolls need changing less often.

With hotmelt glue


The transparent box sealing tape made predominantly from recycled PET is 50 mm wide and is supplied on a roll holding 100 metres. The versatile packaging tape has layer of a solvent-free synthetic hotmelt glue that guarantees strong adhesion on initial contact. Tape with hotmelt glue rolls of the roll easily, but not completely silently. Hotmelt box sealing tape is also less suitable for long-term storage or for use in low temperatures. This box sealing tape is most useful in applications requiring the machine closure of large numbers of cardboard mailing boxes, which makes it ideal for, for example, warehouses and webshops that want to operate in the most environmentally-responsible way possible.
